This was a 5, F*I*V*E star read! ★★★★★ I just wanted it to go on, and on, and on... Yummy Ethan, kicka$$ Merit, and all the merry men, women, wicthes, shapeshifters, fairies, vampires, and a$$hats on the planet seem to converge on Chicago during an epic time in lives of the Cadogan House Vampires. They have taken the first step in no longer belonging to an organization founded centuries long past in Europe, governing the actions of American Houses...which will ensure they are called "Rogue" and no longer entitled to protection from the European conclave. Sounds alot like "Mob" mentality, doesn't it? Along with all the formality, backstabbing actions from the Europeans and the return of a former lover from Ethans past...Merit has been offered a 20 year stint in a secret organization that tries to keep the Master Vampires from abusing their powers. Oh yeah, and some one is picking off vampires. What's the house Sentinal to do? Why put her hair in a ponytail, kiss her sweetie, polish her katana and hunt down anything that harms her city, her friends, her honey, her vamps! Look out Chicago, Merits on the prowl!
